Stacey Solomon opens up on feeling weird as daughter Rose goes to nursery

Stacey Solomon has said she’s feeling “weird” as daughter Rose starts nursery school.

The presenter, 34, shared a video at home as she did her skincare routine after her two year old daughter Rose went to a taster day at nursery, commenting on how “silent” the house is without all the children around.

Stacey and her husband Joe Swash share three children together: Rex, 4, Rose, 2, and Belle, 7 months. The influencer also is mum to sons Zachary, 15, and Leighton, 11, from previous relationships.

In the daytime, usually the older children are out at school, leaving Stacey at home with her two daughters, But that’s set to change as Rose starts nursery full-time.

Wearing a casual grey jumper and applying a serum to her face, Stacey opened up to fans on Instagram about how she was feeling about the milestone.

The star said: “Just wanted to come on and say hello. It is like radio silence in this house right now because all the boys are at school and Rose has started nursery. How cute!

“So she’s been doing little taster days and stuff and now that she’s two she can finally properly go for the full day.

“I’ve never had a child like Rose, by the way. She ran to nursery. She is so ready for it. She doesn’t look back. She doesn’t say ‘where’s my mum?’. She just runs in there! She’s so ready.

“I think when all the older ones go, she feels a bit left out, so she’s been desperate to go to school/nursery. But it’s weird at home. Belle’s asleep and it’s just like silence in here. It’s so weird. I’m sitting here doing my skincare in absolute silence.”

Stacey and Rose – who share the same birthday on October 4 – recently celebrated their 34th and 2nd birthdays with a joint celebration at home.

Stacey and Joe got Rose a doll's house as one of her birthday gifts, with Stacey sharing a photo of mum and daughter playing with the new toy to mark the special day. Other adorable details from their day included two intricately-decorated pink birthday cakes, cupcakes and a balloon in the shape of a two.

Captioning the post, Stacey wrote: "34 & 2. The best gift I ever got on my birthday was you Rose. It’s a dream sharing this special day with you. Happy birthday darling girl. 2 years have bloomin flown by.

"And I’m already excited for 18-50. it’ll be here before we know it no doubt! To the moon and back baby girl. We had the best day. Rose LOVED her dolls house so so much."

She continued: "We played ALL morning. It was cake for breakfast. Then Rose had her taster day at nursery & the school mums & my sister took me out for lunch.

"Then we did the school pick ups together in tutus & played some more dolls house with the boys. Now it’s time for dinner and more cake with a side of nail art.

"Thank you for all of your lovely birthday wishes. love you all xxx"
